Jessica Aliaga-Lavrijsen recently defended her Doctoral Thesis, entitled The Redefinition of Scottish Identity and the Relation Self-Other(s) in the Fiction of Brian McCabe, at the University of Zaragoza, where she teaches.
Her main research interests are Scottish literature and philosophy. Besides, she is a member of the research team "Contemporary Narrative in English", currently working on ethics and trauma, and she has also published some articles and book chapters on contemporary British literature and on photography.
